ABOUT US
The Rotation Room in KW is an innovative, off-ice training center for figure skaters of all levels and abilities. The Rotation Room aims to offer high-quality training opportunities for Canadian figure skaters in an inclusive, safe, and fun environment.
Our facility is a space where skaters and coaches can focus on skill develop, physical fitness, performance, and overall health and well being. Our 5000 sq ft. gym space includes multiple suspended bungee harnesses, an electric spinner, and ballet studio located inside the Carolyn Fedy Skating Centre within the Manulife Sportsplex and Healthy Living Centre at RIM Park.
The Rotation Room training environment is the first of its kind in North America... it brings incredible opportunities to practice, learn, and improve on jumps, spins and other figure skating elements before trying them of the ice." -Anna Lunyova

OUR EQUIPMENT
On Ice Harness
An on ice harness consists of a runner track, track mechanisms, bungees, and harness or belt. It allows skaters to practice bungee assisted jumping on the ice. It helps provide balance, structure, and suspended air time to help skaters practice rotations, axis position, balance, and all other elements of technique.
Electric Spinner
Our custom Rotation Room Electric Spinner can start or finish a rotation with a foot pedal, while controlling the skaters speed. It makes the harnessing process convenient and comfortable for coaches since their hands are completely free to lift skaters with the pulley rope. The spinner can turn in both directions with the flick of a switch.
Bungee Harness System
The Rotation Room Bungee Harness System allows skaters of all levels and abilities to practice off ice jumping and rotations in the safest way possible. The bungee support allows for athletes to train multiple jump repetitions with very little risk of injury and impact on the body. They’re the perfect on or off ice tool for attempting new and difficult jumps. Bungee Harnesses allow for skaters to jump for longer periods of time while building positive muscle memory.
