Each December KWSC hosts a full Performance Day as an end of fall term celebration. This year's FreeSkate Festival will be held on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022!
All KWSC STAR and Competitive skaters are included and there is no entry fee.
In addition to providing a performance opportunity for skaters who have solos (this excludes Star 1), there is a very popular team event. Every participant receives a medal and the skaters have a wonderful day.

Team Event – open for all levels. Teams will be determined after registration closes.

FreeSkate Festival Registration opens on Monday, October 24th and closes on Monday, November 7th at noon.

VOLUNTEER
Like so many of our activities, this one is run by volunteers, so if you are interested in helping with this year's event, please fill out our volunteer form.
Some needed roles include;

Ice Captain
Runners
Hospitality coordinator
Hospitality donations
Awards
Skating judges (Ages 16 and over)
Set up/take down
FOOD AND FUND DRIVE- The Food Bank of Waterloo Region
KWSC will be collecting food and funds at this year's FreeSkate Festival. Donation boxes will be available at the entrance of CFSC Rink and throughout the arena.
The following is a list of high-need items:
Canned fruit
Rice
Individually packaged snacks (Granola Bars, Apple sauce, pudding cups)
Dry beans
100% Juice boxes
