SNOWBALL SYNCHRO AND BEYOND

General Objectives:

  1. To foster a love of synchronized skating
  2. To introduce and develop the idea of team work
  3. To introduce basic synchronized skating skills
  4. Creating a place for all
Registration: Skaters plan to attend an on-ice session during the time below.
Parents come with your cheque book ready to complete registration form.

When:

  June 10, 2009
Where:   RIM Park Optimist ice pad
Time:   Elementary (Gems on Ice): 7:30 – 8:15 pm on-ice
Pre-Novice (Diamonds on Ice): 8:15 - 9:00 pm on-ice

 

Gems on Ice – Elementary Level

Age:

  8 to 12 years of age (older and younger skaters will be accommodated)
Team Size:   8–16 skaters
Season:   September 12, 2009 – Mid March 2010
Practice:   Saturday 8:30 – 9:20 am RIM Park - Optimists
     
Performance/Competition Commitment:

Exhibitions:

  2 to 3 at KWSC recreational sessions and event during the winter season
Competitions:   Introduction to 1 competition
March Mania, March 5 – 7, 2010
Innisfil Recreation Centre, Innisfil, Ontario

Gems on Ice – Elementary Level: Cost approximately $400 - $425 (if registering in another KWSC Fall/Winter program). Fees cover ice, coaching and team practice fleece.

Planning for the competition will take place in the fall after the team begins training.

Diamonds on Ice – Pre-Novice Level

Age:

  12 to 19 years of age (approx)
Team Size:   8–16 skaters
Season:   September 11, 2009 – Mid March 2010
Practice:  

All practices will be held at RIM Park
Monday 6:00 – 6:50 pm (off ice) & 7:00-8:20 pm (on ice)
Friday 6:30-7:30 am
(above times are tentative)

A pre-season kick-off camp is planned for Aug 31 - Sept 3 at RIM during the day - times to be determined.
