CanSkate Curriculum Pilot Project

KWSC is proud to announce that we have been selected by Skate Canada to pilot the proposed new CanSkate curriculum this season. A total of 45 clubs which are representative of various club sizes and demographics across the country have been selected.

The CanSkate pilot program will take place from October 2010 to March 2011 during three our KWSC CanSkate session on Saturdays at CFSC-RIM Park at 1:45 p.m., Tuesdays 7pm at Lions Arena- RIM park and Thursdays 5:05pm at Grandriver arena- Kitchener.

The differences will be minimal because KWSC has been a leader in this field however participating skaters will work on additional fundamentals and the new version report card will reflect this. Throughout the season parents will be asked for feedback.

Once the pilot is completed and feedback gathered, any changes required will be implemented across the country making KWSC skaters and their parents instrumental in the development of our sport.
