Tell us about your skating career:
In my pairs career I earned national honours including: 2-time National Senior Pair Champions of Canada, 8-time Canadian World Team member, and 3-time Olympic team member, competing in 1992 Albertville, 1994 Lillihammer and 1998 Nagano. We earned many International medals including: 1999 ISU Four Continents Silver Medalist and 1994 Skate Canada Champion. I did many tours with Kristy including Stars On Ice, Tom Collins Tour, Skate the Nation, and Celebration On Ice.
What are some of your other professional accomplishments?
Since moving toe KWSC in 2007, we have coached 8 national medalists and many teams to a national or international success including current national team members Dylan Moscovitch and Kirsten Moore Towers. In prior years team coached with head coach Paul Wirtz producing over 30 National medalist and many internatioal competitors and medalists. As a professional skater we were 3 time Sears Pro-Am silver medalist and Canadian World Team gold Medal Champions with teammate Kurt Browning and Josee Chouinard.
What are your coaching credentials?
I am a Level 3 Certified professional coach, with experience at the national and international level, I have 18 years coaching experience and in 2010 Kristy and I were honored to be named the Skate Canada Western Ontario Section competitive coaches of the year.
Are you currently taking new students and if so at what level?
Will accept auditions for pairs or singles upon request.
When you are not at the rink what are you doing?
Golfing, cars, spending time with our 3 kids.
Who is/are your favourite skater(s)?
Ekaterina Gordeeva and Sergei Grinkov, Kurt Browning and Tracy Wilson and Robert McCall.
