What is your skating/teaching philosophy:
To manage skaters so they understand and get pleasure from the work and discipline it takes to achieve personal goals. Additionally, to encourage skaters to be the best they can be in a fun and active environment and create the foundation to remain active for life.
Tell us about your skating career:
I was a triple Gold Medalist in figures, freeskate and dance. Competed at Nationals at the junior level. Completed ISU class 4 and 3.
What are some of your other professional accomplishments?
I have 15+ years experience coaching athletes at national competitions with a number of skaters achieving medal placements. I have coached skaters and medalists at International competitions and coached at the ISU World Junior Championship. I have participated and assisted at national training seminars and trained athletes from across Canada and around the world. I have worked with numerous Gold Medalists at the STARSkate level in Skating Skills, Free Skate and Dance disciplines. I am the Official Power Skating coach of the O.H.L. Kitchener Rangers.
What are your coaching credentials?
I am a Level 3 Certified in Singles Discipline with 33 years coaching experience and First Aid Certified. I am also CanPowerskate certified.
Are you currently taking new students and if so at what level?
I am accepting CanSkate, STAR and Competitive singles skaters. I am also available for private power skating instruction.
When you are not at the rink what are you doing?
Golfing, cooking, and doing building and home renovation projects.
